Today I received a forwarded email from my mother-in-law. She originally sent this email to her sister, and then apparently decided to forward the same email to her two kids and her kids-in-law.
... Still have not heard from either of my kids. I am going to do like Leona Helmsley and leave my fortune to my dog. When you see the end coming for me, please go out and buy me one. Have a great day!
My mom and my MIL have hinted at something similar. Do you think people take parents for granted? I'd like to think I spend as much time with our parents and call them frequently enough. I wonder if parents always feel like their grown-up kids don't spend nearly enough time with them in person or on the phone. Hmmmmmmm...
PS. Still laughing at your MIL's e-mail. I hope someone called her! ;) LOL!
Well, I assume you and Eric have seperate emails and she sent it to each of you. But I have to ask, does she call or just wait to be called. Was she being humerous becuase it is easy to see it a different way.
Turns out she thought she was being humorous and witty, but there was a little passive aggressiveness in there too. She did have the thought that some of us might be offended, which it turns out Eric's sister was, as I was a little too, but still humored by her move.
Eric and I do have separate emails, but she sent it to her two kids, and the kid-in-laws all together, so we could see who she sent it to.
Ginger - I'm not really sure what her normal pattern is. I think lately she has been letting her kids call her as she doesn't want to disturb them in their busy lives, but wants to be included and remembered. Her and Eric's exchanges are usually via his cell phone, so I don't normally talk to her myself. I'm more of an emailer.

Ha! At least she has a sense of humor about it!
And when you told Eric about the email he said:___________.
Py - he didn't get it at first. He called her on the way to work today. Good son!
I'm glad he called her! That was a hilarious guilt ridden e-mail. I must cut and paste it for future use. :)
Your MIL is hilarious! I'm glad someone called the poor woman :)
She has a great sense humor...
Great email! Got the point across, huh?
