What was that you say? Oh! You haven't heard from me for quite a while? Yes, I suppose that does happen every once in a while. Pretty much life has overtaken my free time, and when I'm not lifeing, then I'm trying to sleep and well.... I REALLY like sleep.
But I did want to share a little advice I learned this weekend...
When carrying a beer mug in a big parade/walking event/festival thingy (aka Bay to Breakers) where you are part of a 500 person float which contains 25 kegs of beer and 8 taps integrated into the float frame (Disco to Breakers ), do not keep your cell phone and lip gloss in said mug thinking you'll use it like a "purse" because eventually you WILL put beer in the mug and cell phones DON'T DRINK BEER!
And yes, this happened at 8:30am and I hadn't even had any beer. Guess that lack sleep catches up with a person. So if you are trying to call me, give me a few days to call you back so I can see if the poor phone will dry out enough to be revived (hopefully the beer smell will go away too!).

My brother just did the same thing, only not in a parade and not in a beer, but in a glass of water....anyway, you are supposed to put your phone in a baggie filled with rice! This supposedly helps dry it out. Let me know if it works, oh, and glad you're back!
I'm going to look at the glass half full (har har har) and say it's time for a crackberry!!! you know you wanna.
I saw the pic of your float on the front page of the SF Chron. I also saw "disco lizards" holding cups, but, alas, you and Eric weren't in the photo. :-( Did you have a good time -- even though you were operating on so little sleep?
